Are you interested in a living a well established form of life in a new and exciting way?
The House of Initia Nova is a Benedictine Community of vowed religious and Oblates, founded in the United States, with members now in the United Kingdom, ordained and lay in the Anglican Communion. The Community is open to all who have reached their 18th birthday, are celibate, married or Single.
Members will join together as often as possible for communal prayer and worship; and will seek to live out, under the Guidance of the Holy Rule, the Benedictine spirit in day to day life.
whilst living a dispersed and uncloistered form of monasticism, Our lives are dedicated to “Seeking the face of God” through the ‘opus Dei’ – the recitation of the Divine Office, Sacred reading, and study.
We live under the three traditional monastic vows of Stability, Conversion of Life, and Obedience.
Those who are communicant members of the Anglican Church or are in communion with it, are invited to discern a vocation with us.
If you would like to meet for an informal chat and live in or near London we can arrange that too! Contact Br John-Aelred – You can find his details on our new UK Website here
